- #4 Fireside chat between Deepali and Kanni - Fostering data for policy in Asia (+policy makers)
-
#1 Strategic dialogue: reimagining the future of data governance in the development context
(+operational)
- Innovation has a direction. What is the direction of data innovation in the development context? (Ethical, inclusive, collaborative/participatory, empowering...)
- How can data governance enable the space and process to drive that direction? What are the key principles?
- How can we leverage and amplify our roles and capacities in the ecosystem to foster a good data governance that nurture more meaningful development?
- What are the lessons-learned so far? Envision a better future, what is the way forward?
- Potential speakers: policy makers, organization leaders, data stewards, researchers in this field
-
#2 Edge session: pushing the boundary for alternative data governance models
-
Why do we need to push the boundary?
- Accessibility
- Liquidity/portability/interoperability
- Inclusive: participation & ownership
- Collaborative: ecosystem
-
What are the examples of alternative data governance models?
- Bottom-up data trust
- Indigenous data sovereignty & community data governance
- Systems approach in enabling deep data-driven insights
- How to situate these models in the local context? How are they working on the ground? What are the examples?
- Potential speakers: practitioner and researchers in this field
-
#3 Participatory session: exploring the possibilities of data governance in the countries
- Reflect on the learning from the previous webinars
- Map the data-related initiatives in selected UNDP COs (Philippines, Indonesia, India, Serbia and Moldova)
- Identify the patterns of those initiatives from the perspective of stakeholder engagement (actors and engagement model), design principles (data sharing & ethical use of data), need (infrastructure, communication, framework)
- Way forward (future opportunities): raise questions for further exploration and develop prototypes for changes
- Well facilitated session by domain experts and UNDP IRH x UNDP RIC
