      1. Speaking, Listening and Learning at KS1 and 2 available at publications.teachernet.gov.uk.
   2. an overall subject level for mathematics
   3. a level for each attainment target in science

4. Tasks and Tests "must be administered to all eligible children who are working at level 1 or above in reading, writing and mathematics".

6. When assessing writing, the longer and shorter tasks should be from the same year as the spelling test.
7. Which task/test?
   1. At level 1
      1. Use level 1 reading
      2. Use two writing tasks and spelling
      3. Use level 1 (from bank)
   2. level 2
      1. Reading: use level 2 task or test.
      2. Writing: Use writing tasks
      3. Maths: Use level 2 test
         1. Equipment: Can use 100 squares and numberlines, and tens and units apparatus.
   3. level 3
      1. Reading: use level 3 test
         1. No need to use level 2 task/test
      2. Writing: use writing tasks
      3. Use level 3 test
         1. No need to use level 2 test if 3 not achieved.
            1. No equipment allowed.
8. 4th July 2009 isthe last date for finalising levels.
