   2. Skype, ooVoo, Google Documents, and DropBox are all used by virtual teams
   3. Some teams may never met and could live on opposite ends of the world.
2. Arab Spring
   1. Massive use of social networking.
   2. Currently has engulfed 18 countries:
      1. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Morocco, Oman, Lebanon, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, and Western Sahara
   3. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, and Yemen have all overthrown their governments.
   4. Around 45,000 people have died in the Arab Spring about 50% in Libya and 20%in Syria.
   5. It has caused riots and protests to spring up around the world.
3. E-waste
   1. E-waste is the disposal of electronics with no regard to the environment.
   2. 20-50 million tons of e-waste is generated a year.
   3. Chemicals such as mercury cause birth defects, cancer, respiratory problems, and other health problems
   4. Almost no countries have laws on e-waste
   5. It is the largest growing portion of waste.
4. Outsourcing and Offshoring
   1. Outsourcing is the contracting of work to an outside businesses.
      1. Many Americans confuse outsourcing with what is actually offshoring
   2. Offshoring is shipping work to another country to save money.
      1. India, China, Brazil, and Mexico are all countries that American corporations offshore too.
      2. China is the country most often outsourced to.
      3. Many claim that offshoring hurts American jobs.
   3. Both outsourcing and offshoring have been steadily increasing over the years.
