First Impressions
-
Meet with the inquisitor as she arrives in the Askellon Sector
- Enemies are planning a sabotage
- a Rival Inquisitor who sends an eversor at her
- Eldars are involved in a very minor degree
- Tries to prevent the Eversor from assassinating the inquisitor
- The PCs arrive before the inquisitor, in anywhere from 5 to 20 hours after the last PC arrive on the station
- They feel that something is wrong but cannot detect it, its a gut feeling, something they were left with due to being survivors
- They can prepare however they like, but it is a timelimit(roll 1d10+5 in hours they got)
-
When the ship arrives, it starts to unload passagers, when no inquisitor arrive, they hear a scream
- "WRYYYYYYY"
-
An eversor drops from high above and charges into the ship in order to take out the hiding inqusitor that it did not detect.
- when the ship docked, it pumped drugs in order to start the mission, but when it did not trigger, it needed a release, which is why it threw away stealth tactics. The inquisitor might have known that its there.
- The PCs are given some time to figure out how they want to deal with this
- After some time, a runner appears, saying that the inquisitor awaits at docking bay 26b-5.
- They make their way there and can do an awareness check to spot an eldar hiding out, watching the inquisitor.
-
if they want to interupt the eldar or warn the inquisitor, another screem can be heard
- "WRYYYYY"
-
There will be quite a fight, where the eversor tries to get to the inquisitor, but is shot in the leg by Eulia (if she is aware, if not, then the eldar). the Eversor has its movement reduced by 1
- When it reached half-way, it will be shot again in the other leg, causing it to crawl, reducing its movement even further (this time reduced totally by 3, or to a minimum of 2)
- If the Eversor reached Eulia, she displaces some distance away and the eldar (or a player) gets a final shot to take it down, where it explodes into a toxic cloud.
- When the fight is done, Eulia gathers up her Acolytes, if the eldar is present, she will have a staredown with it before the eldar leaves without a word, he has seen what he needs to see.
-
Eulia finds them a flyer and informs them of the mission, then tasks them with finding equipment that they believe they need
- The planet they are going to have thin air, so get rebreathers
- The planet is barren but has a large underground cave system, so bring lightsources
- The enemy is some sort of unindentified xeno
- Eulia does not reveal the tech-priest link yet
- The PCs can each get 1 item each with up to scarse availability for free, that they think can be of use in the mission.
-
Sidemission: Who Sent the Assassin?
- Discover who sent the Eversor
- When asked about Eversors, Eulia says that they are assassins, working for powerful people or groups within the imperium.
- The PCs know that someone is after Eulia and must do what they can to prevent them from succeeding.
- There is nothing to be gained from the eversor, so they know that they will be in for the long run.
-
Biological Hereteks
-
a few of the students of the almost-heretical biologis magos (need to find location) have gone their own way, and have now started to experiment on primitive xenos
- Eulia heard some rumors and thought it might as well be somewhere to start to test her new acolytes while keeping to the theme of her job.
- Expected gear is arranged by the inquisitor (rebreathers and flashlights)
- The group travels to a nearby planet from the orbital station (this is why this was the meeting)
- the planet is mostly barren on the surface, but below is a maze of caverns
- Surviving on the planet without extra air is hard as the air is thin
- they will not suffocate while on the surface but suffers 1 fatigue every hour without rebreathers.
- No reason to stay on the surface, so they set down and make their way into the cave system
- ask downy what the order for the flyer that brought them there should be
- The creatures stay away from the surface, so there will be plenty of adventuring structures.
- Extended tests
- 3 Navigation surface
- 2 Survival
- 2 Athletics
- Each test last 30 minutes
- Players write the story based on their result
- All success = they get exactly where they want, without trouble
- All failures = they still get close to where they want but drop into a very dangerous situation with no way back out except through it.
- anything else = use logic
- After they get into the area, they start noticing that something is stalking them, seeing quick movements that shy away from their lights, just quick enough to not be seen.
- If cornered, it will leap out with an incredible jump
- if truly cornered, it will fight its way out
- During this time, they do not converge on the PCs
- Their Cybernetics is linked to a heretek's cogitator and various signal amplifiers around the caves, which makes the Ghasts as they are known, afraid of large groups (more than 3 people)
- If they find one of the signal amplifiers, they can follow that to a small facility, guarded by combat servitors, regular working servitors a heretek biologis and a AI that controls surveilance and 4 turrets around the base (these turrets are not in line of sight of eachother, making it unlikely that more than 1 activate at a time
- Deal with the Heretek
- If he is allowed to spill the beans, he will be able to tell that the Biologis magos focused on the wrong species, flesh is weak and the true advancement for humans is augmentations, but for xenos, that needed to be experimented with.
- There is no solid proof that the Magos is innocent or not, but it should raise questions.
- Once dealth with the heretek, they need to figure out what to do with the Xeno Ghasts
- Also, if they travel deeper, they will find traps and unmodified Ghasts who is highly aggressive against anyone except eachother and cyber-ghasts
- there are also plenty of traps in this area to catch new ghasts
- Ghast Stats
-
Eulia knows that xenos with imperial tech has been reported on the planet and the Admechs refuse to give answers without causing a fuss
- Ask downy what Eulia would do
-
Recuperation
- Eulia and her retinue travels to Desoleum due to it being a hub of rumors
- Here they rent a fine appartment in the Apex to spend some downtime.
- Eulia will be doing a lot of paperwork, have meetings with various people and generally be unavailable.
- The first week, the PCs will spend time resting to recover any wounds they would have suffered, more acolyes can be brought in at the end of this time.
- the second week is dedicated to getting to know the area
- The third week, Eulia will be offworld for a little while, the PCs are to deal with any situations they think is worthy of attention from the inquisition. Eulia is interessted in anything linked to xenos, and the xenos trade on Desoleum (which they would have learned about by now)

-

-
"you are not my brother"
- before slaying George
- Henry picks up George's medalion, along with the inquisitor badge, then hands the inquisitor badge to the acolyte he likes the first impressing of.

Rivera Stillwater - Ordo Sicarius
-
While just a lowly acolyte, she seems to have gotten ahold of some sort of transmission-link to 3 assassins, whom all have been registered as rogue
- Her vox will for mysterious reasons pick up any transmission and makes sound when the assassins are near
- her fading electoos also starts glowing when near them
- both is proximity focused, getting stronger the closer they are
- She is assigned several other acolytes to help her in her quest to track these down
-
One assassin was sent to fight Dark Eldars and never returned
- he joined the mandrakes and trained with them, learning the way of the blade and is extremely lethal
- He does not work for the imperium anymore, only likes to kill high-profile targets as masterfully as possible
-
One assassin was constantly using Xeno tech which is not permitted
- he prefered Tau Technology and has contacts with kroots
-
He works for the imperium in his own way, but not seeing xenos as a threat, its more important to stop threats from within, especially the ones that can be linked to daemons
- cults and cultists, not chaos
-
One assassin refuses to carry out his orders
- He only uses non-lethal weaponry and turn them in to the proper authority
- He works closely with Adeptus Mechanicus for tech, and returns imperial threat to them so they can carry out punishment or make them into servitors and similar so they can continue to serve the imperium.
-
Faen Helvet - Ordo Mechinius
- Faen is a forgeworld gutter-warrior who is blessed by the machine spirit
- No matter what he does, machines seems to favour him and attempts to provide favourable outcomes to anything he is directly involved with.
- Faen is no inquisitor but he is tasked with special missions with special case authority (blue icon, instead of regular red)
- He does not normally team up with acolytes, but his social education is somewhat lacking so he requested 1 person to step in to fill this role (a PC)
-
The rest of his team are servitors who have somehow regained their senses but not their memories from before they became servitors
- let players make characters then give them a template based on which servitor they are turned into
-
