    1. the T is the beginning of a stressed syllable: the T is pronounced to be T Samples : Italian, ATOMIC , Momento
    2. the T is the beginning of a not-stressed sylable and there is a stress syllable before it: The T is reduced to be a tapped D sound Samples : BETTER, SISTER, GREATER, HITTER
    3. "T" falls after a vowel and before an "L." The "D" sound does not explode off the teeth but opens directly into the throat for the "L." Samples: CATTLE, RATTLE, BATTLE, BOTTLE, SETTLE
