  2. Skills and Experience
    1. Claim: In context of different projects and tools, Jane is always comes up with best solution
      1. At MyCorp Systems, Jane Doe worked for several projects. One of them uses Microsoft Coded UI + Specflow; another – WatiN. We had several workshops with Jane where she showed me how she is working with those different tools. For the case with Coded UI, she demonstrated how she utilized the most tools, which comes with Visual Studio and then reactors the generated code. That made the process of creating the tests much faster and still there was a reliable code. In case with WatiN there were no special tools that supports the test creation. In this case, Jane made a proper abstraction layer, which made the automated tests reliable and easy to maintain.
      2. I see that Jane is really curios about test automation. She experiments, discusses and applies new approaches; as well adopts the existing one. The result is the reliable test automation code, which really helps testing the project.

  3. Reliability and Getting Things Done
    1. Boring and Interesting tasks are important
      1. You probably know, in our testing industry some of the job related tasks can be considered as and interesting and boring but important. Jane understands this importance and completes any tasks. Otherwise, we would not have such a good feedback from the customer side. The customers feedback and well as stockholder notes are attached to the committee candidates profile.
    2. Jane gives the feedback in time
      1. That is very important point to highlight. There are people who are willing to hide the situations, when they failed to do something. In such situation, small issues may turn to a huge disaster. I am glad; Jane is always notifying the team members when she sees the risk or that kind of issues. During a more than a year, I have not heard any negative feedbacks from the customer side. Instead of that, as a person who is seating 5 meters near, I sometimes hear how Jane discusses such issues with the customers.
  4. I appreciate Jane for saving my time

  5. Conclusion
    1. Sr. Position is not the final destination for Jane, but a chance to get the recognition from the company for a great job that have been done; and appreciated by the customers and all the project stakeholders.
    2. Sr. Position is a tool for the future development. This is an important tool which would aim to continue developing the “hard” and soft skills, such as leadership, management and cetera.
    3. Takes opportunities to increase knowledge of relevant job skills
    4. Complete assignments accurately and in a timely and efficient manner.
    5. Shares knowledge with co-workers
    6. As Jane’s Resource Manager and the Sr. Test Engineer, I have no doubts she deserves this promotion. And… Today is the right moment.
