Where your attention goes...
(Neville Goddard)
- Benefits of focused attention
- The great secret of success is to focus the attention on the feeling of the wish fulfilled without permitting any distraction.
- All progress depends upon an increase of attention. The ideas which impel you to action are those which dominate the consciousness, those which possess the attention.
- When you set out to master the movements of attention, which must be done if you would successfully alter the course of observed events, it is then you realize how little control you exercise over your imagination and how much it is dominated by sensory impressions and by a drifting on the tides of idle moods.
- Recalibrating attention
- Therefore, when you know what you want, you must deliberately focus your attention on the feeling of your wish fulfilled until that feeling fills the mind and crowds all other ideas out of consciousness.
- 3 ways to "Let Go"
- Inspired Change
- Full Acceptance
- Unconditional Release
- Bring your "Letting go" acceptance to a "Thank you" confirmation
- The attentive attitude involves selection, for when you pay attention, it signifies that you have decided to focus your attention on one object or state rather than on another.
- Attention as affirmation
- The power of attention is the measure of your inner force.
Concentrated observation of one thing shuts out other things and causes them to disappear.
- Your attention must be developed, controlled, and concentrated in order to change your concept of yourself successfully and thereby change your future.
- Deeper points of reflection
- The outer world is reflecting the inner world. Your attention reveals what is related based on your inner world.
- Our subconscious is impressed to the current impressions and our attention goes to what we subconsciously believe what is further related.
- Express your "Thank you" for what shows up in relation to what you desire to create.
- Neville's exercise for attention
- To aid in mastering the control of your attention, practice this exercise:
Night after night, just before you drift off to sleep, strive to hold your attention on the activities of the day in reverse order.
Focus your attention on the last thing you did, that is, getting in to bed, and then move it backward in time over the events until you reach the first event of the day, getting out of bed.
This may no be an easy exercise, but just as specific exercises greatly help in developing specific muscles, this will greatly help in developing the "muscle" of your attention.

Positive Mental Attitude (INTUITION via Self-Confidence & Enthusiasm)
1,278 views•Aug 9, 2020
- Enthusiasm
- An "idea" is a seed that is planted in the garden of the mind.
Enthusiasm waters the seed into a tree of beliefs which saturates the mind with related thoughts and ideas.
These related beliefs/thoughts/ideas sustain the positive mental attitude. (State of mind)
- 1. Ideas give meaning in our life
- 2. Enthusiasm amplifies the meaning in our life and waters the seed of our idea
- 3. Enthusiasm moves our body into action and also transforms the outer world conditions to reflect the garden of the mind
- How to multiply your enthusiasm...
- 1. Affirmations that in are harmony with the idea.
- 2. Information that affirms the idea and affirmations.
- 3. Affirming the affirmations and information through conscious living of the philosophy
- 1. You show up each day and do your best. As a result, you become aligned with your idea through the evolution of your beliefs.
- 2. "Let go" of overly identifying with the day to day aspects of the journey
- 3. No one to impress but self
- Self-Confidence
- Trusting your intuition
- Directed from within rather than outer world suggestions
- There are infinite paths which represent infinite opportunities and circumstances.

The Magic Path of Intuition
Florence Scovel Shinn
- The Great Work, in service to others... (Purification of mind)
- 1. True prayer means preparation.
- 2. From the superconscious—the realm of intuition—what you should know will be revealed to you.
- 3. Stand still. Keep your poise, and the Power within will fight your battle.
- If you are developed spiritually, it returns very quickly; the more you know, the more you are responsible for.
So learn your lessons and be thorough with the long road of experience.
Send goodwill to your seeming enemy, and you surround yourself with a great aura of protection.
Your enemies are only those of your “own household” (your subconscious beliefs).
- Inner eye of understanding
- Awaken, you that sleep. All that you desire or require is already on your pathway, but you must be wide-awake to your good to bring it into manifestation.
Affirm: The Power within sweeps out of my mind, body, and affairs everything not divinely planned, and puts my house in order, now and forevermore!
- Let the Divine ideas flash into your conscious mind. You are now linking with your invisible supply, which manifests on the external, through the consciousness of having received. Worry, doubt, and fear blur your spiritual fi eld glasses. They must be continually cleaned with fresh inspiration and faith.
- Desire is a tremendous power and must be rightly directed. You may desire the wrong things and conditions, so to give the Supreme Intelligence right of you, you must say, I desire only that which God desires through me.
- Follow your intuitive leads and prepare for the blessings you have asked for, regardless of adverse appearances. True prayer means preparation.
- "Letting go" of "Force"
(The Purification process)
- The conscious mind must be redeemed from its wrong thinking by giving it the right ideas to work from the superconscious.
You may desire something that is not in the Divine Plan, and you find you are continually blocked in its manifestation; or if you attain it, it brings only unhappiness and misfortune.
Health, wealth, love, and perfect self- expression are the square of life and are for each individual, but the way of manifestation belongs to the Great Designer.
- People wear out doing the same things every day.
In order to be successful, the element of play must enter into what you are doing. Let the ideal be the only reality in your life—then the obstacles and hindrances will melt away, as you are undisturbed by them.
The Spirit is Pure Intelligence, upon which man draws to tune in. Do not limit yourself to a one-station radio of life. Tune in with Infinite Intelligence.
- This spiritual broom sweeps out all belief in lack, loss, failure, resentment, inharmony, sadness, etc.
- The desire of the heart can only be attained through nonresistance.
- Infinite Intelligence, the great magician who brings forth... (Pure desire)
- The fourth-dimensional world is the world of perfect ideas.
I desire the Divine ideas only to come to pass, under grace and in perfect ways. I say in The Game of Life and How to Play It that health, wealth, love, and perfect self-expression are the square of life. See ye first the fourth dimension, and the perfect plan of your life will come to pass. You will fill the place that you can fill and no one else can fill. Righteous desires of the heart, no matter how extravagant or seemingly unattainable, will be added unto you.
- There is no limit to the good that God has prepared for man. Only doubt or unbelief shuts off the Power within each man. However, faith turns the Power on again, so it is necessary to do everything to develop faith in that Power. Sometimes a new affirmation or a new idea will suddenly give you the realization, which is manifestation.
- When you realize that time and space are but a dream, you live suspended in the moment, and time can never touch you.
- Be wide-awake to your good, and let every event of the day teach you something.
- Happy is the man who believes that Infinite Intelligence knows the way of fulfillment.
- Divine Plan, every righteous desire of the heart is satisfied.

The 3 Ways To "Let Go" and Be Present to the Moment...
(MINIMAL OF MIND)
- Why
- Alights the conscious mind with purpose and direction.
- Helps us during challenge and uncertainty via the relationship between the conscious and subconscious minds.
- Releases identification with pressure and suffering.
- Removes the source of unnecessary pressure and suffering.
- 3 Ways
- Inspired Change
- So much pressure and suffering is a result of unfulfilling expressions of desire.
- Important question to ask...
Is it true for you?
- New pressure and suffering and past pressure and suffering.
- Full Acceptance
- Information does not need to form your identity. It is part of your experience.
- Being attached to certain "Outer world" elements amplifies your pressure and suffering.
The paradox is that as attachment is released, things, people, or conditions come to you with without pressure or suffering and you appreciate them.
This is unconditional love "Acceptance"
- Unconditional Release
- Self-imposed conscious and subconscious pressure and suffering turn calm external environments into unnecessary stress.
- A mind riddled with unnecessary pressure and suffering leads the individual into unnecessary complexity and convolution in relation to their goals. This leaves them feeling drained, empty, and exhausted.

Success via Loyalty To The Unseen Reality (THE GREAT WORK)
- 1. As above, so below (Unwavering Loyalty)
- As the architect of your destiny, we understand that there is always a hidden order.
Creation starts from within and is revealed externally through accurate thinking, emotions and actions in harmony with the laws of nature.
- Entrepreneur journey capabilities:
- Tech skills
- Sales skills
- Marketing skills
- Communications skills
- Productivity skills
- Part of our goal with these understandings is to bring into conscious awareness the subconscious awareness or the 'hidden order' into light
- 2. The present moment (Autotelic Divine Will)
- Feel your inner body engaged in everyday activities, especially when engaged in relationships or when you are relating with nature. This keeps the connection open for autotelic being or divine will.
As a result, you'll feel it as a deep sense of peace as you allow yourself to be the conduit of expression for your vision.
- At a deep level of presence we have accurate thought which is detached form overthinking revealed as internal conflict between the laws of creation and the laws of nature.
- 3. Purification of mind (The Great Work)
- Always make it a point of moving forward in your mind, ever seeking to unfold your power of thought and to develop hidden possibilities.
- Great simple lessons need to be studied revealing further nuances of discernment, in contribution to higher levels of clarity.
- Receiving bliss right now (Flow)
- Happiness and bliss on the journey is found by being at ease with ourselves when we are by ourselves which prevents unnecessarily convoluted theatre played out with others.
- Flow
- Pick a task or project and seeing it all the way till completion to facilitate the heart and mind relationship. (flow)
- Reflect on where you started, where you are and where you are going.
- Seeing challenges is joyous and in contribution to your growth and destination.
(The Great Work)
- Experiencing deep states of "autotelic being" where action and awareness become one.
- The answers will come to you. When they do, you'll probably will find them as simple solutions.
- If we go through life, fighting, opposing, resisting, arguing, we are bound to meet with many obstacles and likely become so occupied fighting them that we lose sight of our real objective.
- Experiences are the result of our mental/emotional and physical actions.
All of these types of actions are the outcome or the fruit of our thoughts/beliefs/assumptions.
As a result, our thoughts/beliefs/assumptions determine our experiences in our lives.
- The laws of nature and creation (Oneness)
- Aim for oneness.
Strive to be on the outside what you vision is on the inside.
- Accurate thinking is a path to advancement on the material as well as on the spiritual planes. (Laws of Creation + Laws of Nature = Oneness)
- Man evolves outward to the periphery of complexity, and then involves backward to the Central Simplicity.
When a man discovers that it is mathematically impossible for him to know the universe before knowing himself, he then starts upon the Way which leads to the Original Simplicity.
He begins to unfold from within, and as he Unfolds himself, he enfolds the universe. - James Allen
- Affirm the affirmation (Realization Continuum)
- As you grow in knowledge and are able to form better opinions, be welcoming of change in your views.
There can be no progress without change of mind to bring the being into alignment with the vision.
- All strength and wisdom and power and knowledge a man will find within himself, but. he will not find it in egotism; he will only find it in obedience, submission, and willingness to learn.
He must obey the Higher, and not glorify himself in the lower. He who stands upon egotism, rejecting reproof, instruction, and the lessons of experience, will surely fall; yea, he is already fallen.
Said a great Teacher to his disciples, "Those who shall be a lamp unto them-selves, relying upon themselves only, and not relying upon any external help, but holding fast to the Truth as their lamp, and, seeking their salvation in the Truth alone, shall not look for assistance to any besides themselves, it is they among my disciples who shall reach the very topmost height! But they must be willing to learn."
- James Allen
-
The Unseen Reality = our success already exists in the present moment (faith is loyalty to the unseen reality, belief that creation is complete, we are on a journey to the destination (spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental journey)

HOW TO "Let Go" and Find "Inner Peace" (In Relation to Your Goals/Vision/Success)
-
2,390 views•Jul 26, 2020
- The heart desires and mind creates
- Flow is where challenge meets skill
- Meaning within is causing the affect without
- We don't let the ego mind run the show, that is, we don't let our mind re-create our past or let us get rigid
- When we identify with these perspectives, we have identified with the effect instead of the cause of our problems
-
How to "Let Go" and Find "Inner Peace"
(In Relation to Your Goals)
- 1. Be present and enjoy each moment
- When the mind is "stuck" in the past or future, we find ourselves in disharmony with our being. We tend to forget the present moment is all that actually exists.
- You can remove yourself from an environment, change the environment, or accept the environment.
- 2. Keep your mind lightheartedly engaged
- Your mind is akin to a tool that use to create reality. We are to be direct it and not allow it to direct us. This is also known in today's world as letting the "ego" mind run the show.
- You are beyond your mind. You use it to create what the heart desires. They can communicate with each other via imagination or "inner voice."
- We want our mind to be part of the flow and not trying to control the flow.
- It is the emotion that we associate with the outer world that can cause emotional turmoil.
- 3. Understand that the outer world is only "suggesting" the meaning
- Unnecessarily needing approval or seeing validation can evoke emotions based on suggestions from the outer world.
- When we relinquish or let go of an emotion, we "let go" of the related thoughts.
- Understand and choose accordingly.
- Visions of the "ideal" recalibrates the mind back into your vision and brings clarity to the present.
- 4. Allow yourself to be who you are
- Accept and then act. This is will allow you to work with it and not against it. This will allow you turn the obstacle into an opportunity.
- 5. Assume the affirmation in experiences
- Sometimes your tasks related to your goal and your vision can take your attention away from the present moment which has all your power.
Pause and reflect on how different aspects within your awareness contribute to your goal and vision.
- Questions to ask:
- How can I adapt and enjoy, to release from mental rigidity?
- How can I step outside from my own perspective and see it from another?
- How I can take myself less seriously and be lighthearted about it?
-

- 1. Learn to trust yourself more. "inner voice"
2. Develop a higher degree of faith in your imagination.
3. Reveal further insights and perspectives on what you are already learning, in relation to your journey and goals.
- All things exist, and the mystery of their creation must be understood in terms of faith.
But faith does not give reality to that which is unseen. Faith is loyalty to the unseen reality! Only in this sense can the meaning of faith be understood. - Neville Goddard
- “You are entitled to know that two entities occupy your body. One of these entities is motivated by and responds to the impulse of fear.
The other is motivated by and responds to the impulse of faith. Will you be guided by faith or will you allow fear to overtake you?” - Napoloen Hill
- Fear of Uncertainty

- 5) Experiences "flow" from states of mind
- What was your state of mind or mental attitude in relation to the evidence?
- Reflections: States of mind, the effects of the state of mind, imagination and the subconscious creation process.
- 3. Your Invisible Council (Everlasting states of mind)
- Every night, over a long period of years, I held an imaginary Council meeting with this group whom I called my "Invisible Counselors."
The procedure was this. Just before going to sleep at night, I would shut my eyes, and see, in my imagination, this group of men seated with me around my Council Table.
Here I had not only an opportunity to sit among those whom I considered to be great, but I actually dominated the group, by serving as the Chairman. - Napoleon Hill
- I had a very DEFINITE PURPOSE in indulging my imagination through these nightly meetings.
My purpose was to rebuild my own character so it would represent a composite of the characters of my imaginary counselors.
Realizing, as I did, early in life, that I had to overcome the handicap of birth in an environment of ignorance and superstition, I deliberately assigned myself the task of voluntary rebirth. - Napoleon Hill
- Mr. Neville Goddard, I desire to acquire from you the divine understanding of imagination via your great work for which you have distinguished your life.
I ask that you may impress upon my subconscious mind, whatever knowledge you possess that you see fit which will enable me to carry out my life's work, in service to others.
I ask that you assist me in reaching and drawing upon whatever sources of knowledge that are available to this end, during our counsel via the questions I bring to the table. I agree to understand and act upon your guidance with calm faith.
- Mr. Napoleon Hill, I desire to acquire from you the marvelous wisdom contained within the laws of success philosophy.
I ask that you may impress upon my subconscious mind, whatever knowledge you possess in regards to the laws of success philosophy that you see fit, which will enable me to carry out my life's work, in service to others.
I ask that you assist me in reaching and drawing upon whatever sources of knowledge that are available to this end, during our counsel via the questions I bring to the table. I agree to understand and act upon your guidance with calm faith.
- Mr. James Allen, I desire to acquire from you the your indepth understanding contained within you magnum opus titled "As a man thinketh"
I ask that you may impress upon my subconscious mind, the deep wisdom contained within your work so I may live the philosophy and inspire all others who seek accordingly, to reveal their own understandings behind your work.
I ask that you assist me in reaching and drawing upon whatever sources of knowledge that are available to this end, during our counsel via the questions I bring to the table. I agree to understand and act upon your guidance with calm faith.

- Welcome!
- Summary:
- Insights and perspectives:
- 1
- JR wakes up excited by challenge (in health and fitness) that are necessary to do for his chief aims (he does them automatically and in 'flow')
- How to Turn The 21 Day Mental Diet Into a Mental Lifestyle
- 1. "Self-Image" Transformation: Change in form, nature and substance
- The Great Work: Consistent purification of the mind into a deeper relationship with the Higher Self, through being in harmony with the laws of nature and creation.
- There could be no object in burning gold after the dross had been removed, and a perfectly pure and enlightened being could not suffer.
A man may rise to high success in the world, and even to lofty altitudes in the spiritual realm, and again descend into weakness and wretchedness by allowing arrogant, selfish, and corrupt thoughts to take possession of him.
- James Allen
- A mental diet is something you do to become "Autotelic" which is a mental lifestyle (Harmony with the Laws of Nature and Creation)
- Your activities each day have an end or purpose in itself.
- Your state of being is rewarding based on where you are and what you are doing right now.
- You find more "flow" each day, in different areas of your life.
- You subconsciously "choose" perspectives that you are aligned with, in relation to your goals.
- Each day you find yourself deeply engaged in your day to day activities calmly knowing that it is all contributing to what you desire to create. (Conscious mind at ease and in relationship with the subconscious mind.)
- (See 18:30)
- 2. "Autotelic" Mental Lifestyle (Harmony)
- Can I see the facts the world sees and still believe in the unseen state? If I can remain loyal to the unseen state, in some way I will get confirmation of it.
- Neville Goddard
- 1. "Let go" to reveal the signs and synchronicities
- 1) Meditation
- 2) Understand the other perspectives
- 3) "Let go" and focus on what is related to your vision
- 4) "Let go" of unnecessarily seeking approval and validation
- 5) Let go of "information" that instills doubt because this can be how it hooks you. When we dwell in doubt long enough, we become fearful.
- 2) Embrace the three kinds of uncertainty,
- 1) Flow based "Uncertainty"
- 2) Controlled Chaos based "Uncertainty"
- 3) Chaos based "Uncertainty"
- 5 principles for dealing transmuting "Uncertainty"
- 1) Integrate to move forward
- 2) See life as lessons as "Perspectives"
- 3) Opportunities present themselves as obstacles
- 4) "The All" provides inspiration to move forward
- 5) Experiences "flow" from states of mind
- A man becomes calm in the measure that he understands himself as a thought evolved being, for such knowledge necessitates the understanding of others as the result of thought, and as he develops a right understanding, and sees more and more clearly the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect he ceases to fuss and fume and worry and grieve, and remains poised, steadfast, serene.

•Jul 16, 2020
- Summary:
- Our goal in this video is to discuss this concept called paradigm and to use it to further bring us into conscious and subconscious harmony with our ultimate chief aim
- Discussion:
- What does it mean to change your paradigm
- Define paradigm
- Our paradigm creates our experience
with the outer world
- Define paradigm
- A paradigm is a mental framework containing all that you have subconsciously accepted to be true about yourself and reality which automatically externalizes as your reality and experience
- Outer world effect and inner world cause
- Being loyal to the unseen
- Because if you can remain loyal to the unseen state in some way, he says, I will get confirmation of it
- Paradigm = deeper than the unseen
- In order to change or evolve the paradigm, we have to remember that one of the key ways to evolve the paradigm is to further affirm the state that we desire to create
- That means to evolve our perspectives based on what shows up,
to see it as affirmative and in contribution
with what we desire to create
- Paradigm in the Kabalian
- The idea behind this is that
there are varying degrees of interpretation from two polarities, take love and hate, that we can assign to the different experiences that we have and interactions with people environments, circumstance and information
- This gives us an enormous amount of understanding and reflection cause and effect reflection data about ourselves. So we can take this information and evolve our paradigm
- It is not the outer world thing that polarizes you. But it's the meaning from within a lot of times subconsciously stored in the paradigm
- Knowledge of the existence of this great hermetic principle will enable the student to better understand his own mental states
and those of other people,
he will see that these states are all a matter of degree and seeing thus he will be able to raise or lower the vibration at will to change his mental polls and thus be master of his mental states instead of being their servant and slave
- Why change your paradigm
- We release from trying harder and move more so into evolving ourselves within to we see ourselves expressing more when I call flow or autotelic
- Through flow your grow your ability to rise above challenges that come up
- We stay open and respond accordingly rather than react without awareness
- You enjoy challenges
- You will know that all things are possible and that you can achieve what you desire to create
- You will find yourself automatically gravitating towards information and perspectives that you need in order to create the life that you desire
- You will find yourself becoming autotelic
- You will find yourself having more variety in your life (new people, situations, opportunities)
- You will see life from many different perspectives at the same time
- You will be able to handle all the perspectives at onces with reacting to them
- Avoid overthinking by:
- Relying on our intuition
- Hunches
- Inspirations
- How to change your paradigm
- If you are finding yourself being reactive or your attention is going in a certain direction, in the outer world, in which you experience reactivity or negative emotion
- <>
- We evolve our perspective around it, and we affirm it until it becomes part of our paradigm
- Choosing consciously in the beginning, and then allowing it to internalize as subconscious paradigm
- It's also known as 'Divine Will' when you feel aligned
- The steps to become autotelic can be
instantaneous
through,
let's say a radical paradigm shift or gradual cause and effect reflection or a combination of both
- Change the meaning of the association by:
- Changing your environment
- Changing the habits
- Application
- Insights and perspectives:
- I've been discussing the same concepts from many different perspectives and many different nuanced slants, because it is one of the causative factors of evolving the paradigm to bring it more into alignment
with what you desire to create
- Like Neville says, ask yourself, what would you be doing if your end result were true right now?
- A person who is 'autotelic' has unwavering focus, unwavering, lighthearted focus that's we want to evolve to
- That's how you know the paradigm is actually in alignment with the outcome that you desire to create
- Now, this may involve shifting the perspectives changing the state or making a move in the direction, which can appear is fearful and scary
- But at the same time, we have to remember one important thing that I've learned from thinking Grow Rich, we want to proceed boldly, to bypass the doubt. Okay, be excited about proceeding boldly, whatever that means for you to bypass
- the doubt, and define excitement in it, this is not from a place of force
- As you begin to continuously evolve through affirming this kind of information, you'll find yourself joyously moving forward boldly because the information that you've been consuming is altering the paradigm changing the paradigm. You'll find yourself experiencing more flow when you move forward boldly, and eventually you'll move into autotelic Which is also called connection with the intuition or the sixth sense
- Napoleon Hill says, The Sixth Sense will never function, while these three negatives or any of them will remain in your mind
- indecision, doubt and fear
- Remember this as you read, indecision, crystallizes into doubt, the to blend and become fear. The blending process is often slow. This is one reason why these three enemies are so dangerous, they germinate and grow without their presence being observed. So the idea behind this is to move forward before fear appears to have a grip on you
- Be at a level where maybe at 'indecision' you make a bold move, realizing that this is the gateway or the passageway, or the hack, you could say, to alter the paradigm, addressing things before it gets into doubt and fear
- Learning how to receive the answers within
- As I continue to maintain it, it is really based on not allowing indecision to turn into doubt and fear, because I know being indecisive will keep the paradigm the way it is
- The fulfillment starts in the world within and externalizes as the fulfillment in the outer world and all these videos are designed to help you get there. They are the same thing said for many different perspectives which is to do the one thing that we intend to do on this journey, which is become the person that is in harmony with the end result
- We must, in essence, consume the same kind of information from many different perspectives
- Remaining true to it in the imagination till it externalizes as inspired action or outerworld circumstances changing in harmony with the inspired action to creating what you desire

Mental Diets
Neville Goddard
- Inner conversations
- Most of us are totally unaware of the fact that our inner conversations are the causes of the circumstance of our life.
- We are told that "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." But do we know that man's thinking follows the tracks laid down in his own inner conversations?
- When man discovers the creative power of inner talking, he will realize his function and his mission in life. Then he can act to a purpose. Without such knowledge, he acts unconsciously.
- Your mental conversation attracts your life
- As long as there is no change in his inner talking, the personal history of the man remains the same
- To attempt to change the world before we change our inner talking is to struggle against the very nature of things.
- Man can go round and round in the same circle of disappointments and misfortunes, not seeing them as caused by his own negative inner talking, but as caused by others.
- Creating your reality
- The prophet said, "Be ye imitators of God as dear children." How would I imitate God? Well, we are told that God calls things that are not seen as though they were seen, and the unseen becomes seen.
- Our inner conversations represent in various ways the world we live in. Our individual worlds are self-revelations of our own inner speech
- If you practice this art of controlled inner speaking, you too will know what a thrill it is to be able to say, "And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it is come to pass, ye might believe."
- Transference
- Most of us rob others of their willingness and their ability to be kind and generous by our fixed attitudes towards them.
- Every time we exercise our imagination lovingly on behalf of another, we are literally mediating God to that one.
- Alignment & Congruence
- What is your aim? Does your inner talking match it? It must, you know, if you would realize your aim. For as the prophet asked, "Can two walk together except they be agreed?" And of course the answer is, "No, they cannot." The two who must agree are your inner conversation and the state desired. That is, what you desire to see and hear without, you must see and hear within.
- Every stage of man's progress is made by the conscious exercise of his imagination matching his inner speech to his fulfilled desire. As we control our inner talking, matching it to our fulfilled desires, we can lay aside all other processes. Then we simply act by clear imagination and intention: we imagine the wish fulfilled and carry on mental conversations from that premise.
- The conditions and circumstances of life are not created by some power external to yourself; they are the conditions which result from the exercise of your freedom of choice, your freedom to choose the ideas to which you will respond.
- the mind always behaves according to the assumption with which it starts. Therefore, to experience success, we must assume that we are successful.
- If you are inwardly saying what you would audibly say were you physically present and physically moving about in that place, then you have succeeded.
- Imagination
- Men call imagination a plaything, the "dream faculty." But actually it is the very gateway of reality.
- If we do not like what is happening to us, it is a sure sign that we are in need of a change of mental diet. For man, we are told, lives not by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God. And having discovered the mouth of God to be the mind of man, a mind which lives on Words or inner talking, we should feed into our minds only loving, noble thoughts. For with Words or inner talking we build our world.

- About Neville:
- Review from Harv Bishop:

- <>
- Wikipedia took down its page for Neville Goddard (1905-1972) in 2016 (to date it has not been restored).
- In a sonorous, clipped tone that was preserved on thousands of tape recordings made during his lifetime
- Who was Neville Goddard?
- Neville asserted with complete ease what many would find fantastical: The human imagination is God – and our thoughts create our world, in the most literal sense.
- Neville Goddard was perhaps the last century’s most intellectually substantive and charismatic purveyor of the philosophy generally called New Thought.
- Possessed of a self-educated and uncommonly sharp intellect, Neville espoused a spiritual vision that was bold and total: Everything you see and experience, including other people, is the result of your own thoughts and emotional states.
- He wrote more than ten books under the solitary pen name Neville, and was a popular speaker on metaphysical themes from the late 1930s until his death in 1972.
- Each of us dreams into existence an infinitude of realities and outcomes. When you realize this, Neville taught, you will discover yourself to be a slumbering branch of the Creator clothed in human form, and at the helm of limitless possibilities.
- Neville’s reputation is growing as his mystical teachings are found to comport with key issues in today’s quantum physics debate.
- Neville cultivated an air of mystery, which has contributed to the intrigue and questions around his ideas – and where they came from.
- <>
- History:
- Early years:
- Neville said that his first understanding of the power of creative thought came while he was living in a rented room on Manhattan’s Upper West Side during the winter of 1933. The young man was depressed: his theatrical career had stalled and his pockets were empty. “After twelve years in America, I was a failure in my own eyes,” he later said. “I was in the theater and made money one year and spent it the next month.” The 28-year-old ached to spend Christmas with his family in Barbados; but he couldn’t afford to travel.
- “Live as though you are there,” Abdullah told him, “and that you shall be.” Wandering the streets of New York City, Neville thought from his aim – as he would later urge his listeners – and adopted the feeling that he was really and truly at home on his native island. “Abdullah taught me the importance of remaining faithful to an idea and not compromising,” he recalled. “I wavered, but he remained faithful to the assumption that I was in Barbados and had traveled first class.”
- <>
- One December morning before the last ship was to depart New York that year for Barbados, Neville received a letter from a long out-of-touch brother: In it was $50 and a ticket to sail. His experiment, it seemed, had worked.
- Mid-years:
- Neville Lancelot Goddard was born on February 19, 1905 on the then British-protectorate of Barbados in the town of St. Michael to an Anglican family of nine sons and one daughter. A 1950s gossip column described the young Neville as “enormously wealthy,” his family possessing “a whole island in the West Indies.”
- Neville came to New York City at the age of seventeen to study theater – a move that led to a successful career as a vaudeville dancer and Broadway actor. He toured America and England with dance troupes. But Neville’s theater life was hand-to-mouth; he supplemented his income by working as an elevator operator and shipping clerk.
- Abdullah
- Ethiopian-born rabbi named Abdullah
- Carlos Castaneda and Abdullah
- Runyon spoke frequently to Castaneda about her mystical teacher Neville
- In her memoirs, Runyon recalled Castaneda growing fascinated when the conversation turned to Neville’s discipleship under an exotic teacher:
- …it was more than the message that attracted Carlos, it was Neville himself. He was so mysterious. Nobody was really sure who he was or where he had come from. There were vague references to Barbados in the West Indies and his being the son of an ultra-rich plantation family, but nobody knew for sure. They couldn’t even be sure about this Abdullah business, his Indian teacher, who was always way back there in the jungle, or someplace. The only thing you really knew was that Neville was here and that he might be back next week, but then again…
- Neville and Abdullah
- <>
- When I first met my friend Abdullah back in 1931 I entered a room where he was speaking and when the speech was ended he came over, extended his hand and said: “Neville, you are six months late.” I had never seen the man before, so I said: “I am six months late? How do you know me?” and he replied: “The brothers told me that you were coming and you are six months late.”
- According to Neville, the two studied Hebrew, Scripture, and Kabbalah together for five years – planting the seeds of Neville’s philosophy of mental creativity.
- It was in New York that Joseph Murphy also met the professor Abdullah, a Jewish man of black ancestry, a native of Israel, who knew, in every detail, all the symbolism of each of the verses of the Old and the New Testaments. This meeting was one of the most significant in Dr. Murphy’s spiritual evolution. In fact, Abdullah, who had never seen nor known the Murphy family, said flatly that Murphy came from a family of six children, and not five, as Murphy himself had believed. Later on, Murphy, intrigued, questioned his mother and learned that, indeed, he had had another brother who had died a few hours after his birth, and was never spoken of again.
- Ford lived in New York City at the same time that Neville began his discipleship with Abdullah. Neville recalled his and Abdullah’s first meeting in 1931; and U.S. Census records show Ford was living in Harlem on West 131st Street in 1930. (He was also at the same address in 1920, shortly before Joseph Murphy arrived.) Historian Howard Brotz, in a study of the Black Jewish movement in Harlem, wrote of Ford: “It is certain that he studied Hebrew with some immigrant teacher and was a key link” in communicating “approximations of Talmudic Judaism” from within the Ethiopianism movement. This would fit Neville’s depiction of Abdullah tutoring him in Hebrew and Kabbalah. (It should be noted that early twentieth-century occultists often loosely used the term Kabbalah to denote any kind of Judaic study.)
- The Philosophy:
- <>
- I am
- Neville discovered what eventually became the hallmark of his philosophy: It is imperative to assume the feeling that one’s goal has already been attained. “It is not what you want that you attract,” he wrote. “You attract what you believe to be true.”
- He called it the state of “I AM” – this being a mystical translation of the name of God. Man could attain any goal, he reasoned, provided he adopted the feeling of it in the present.
- The speeches
- Neville reinterpreted each episode in Scripture as a psychological parable of this truth. In an example from his 1941 book Your Faith Is Your Fortune he took a fresh sounding of the tale of Lot’s wife, who turns into a pillar of salt after looking back upon the city of Sodom: “Not knowing that consciousness is ever out-picturing itself in conditions round about you, like Lot’s wife you continually look back upon your problem and again become hypnotized by its seeming naturalness.”
- In his eyes, all of Scripture was nothing other than a blueprint for man’s development. “The Bible has no reference at all to any person who ever existed, or any event that ever occurred upon earth,” Neville told audiences. “All the stories of the Bible unfold in the minds of the individual man.” Neville depicted Christ not as a living figure but, rather, as a mythical master psychologist whose miracles and parables demonstrate the power of creative thought.
- The Experience
- Neville entered the army on November 12, 1942, obligated to serve for the duration of the war. But military records show that four months later, in March 1943, the mystic was “discharged from service to accept employment in an essential wartime industry.”
- Neville resumed his “essential wartime” job as a metaphysical lecturer in New York’s Greenwich Village. A profile in The New Yorker of September 11, 1943, described the handsome speaker back at the lectern before swooning (and often female) New York audiences.
- “Unfortunately,” an Army public affairs officer said. “Mr. Goddard’s records were destroyed in the 1973 fire at the National Personnel Records Center.”
- Neville also made bold claims about the eventual – and highly prosperous – rise of his family’s food service and retail businesses in Barbados. These claims likewise conform to public records.
- The full story may never be knowable, but the notion of two young metaphysical seekers, Neville and Murphy, living in pre-war New York and studying under an African-American esoteric teacher, whether Ford or another, is wholly plausible. The crisscrossing currents of the mind-power movement in the first half of the twentieth century produced collaborations among a wide range of spiritual travelers, who traversed the metaphysical landscape with a passion for personal development and self-reinvention.
- The claim:
- “Man moves in a world that is nothing more or less than his consciousness objectified,” he concluded
- If that’s true, one might ask, why has this principle been discovered by so relatively few?
- In The Romance of Metaphysics, Regardie wrote:
- Neville’s method is sound enough. But the difficulty is that few people are able to muster up this emotional exaltation or this intellectual concentration which are the royal approaches to the citadel of the Unconscious. As a result of this definite lack of training or technique, the mind wanders all over the place, and a thousand and one things totally unrelated to ‘I AM’ are ever before their attention.
- The method:
- Neville offered his listeners and readers simple meditative techniques, such as using the practice of visualization before going to sleep, or the repeat reenactment of a small, idealized imaginal drama symbolizing one’s success, like receiving an award or a congratulatory handshake. But Regardie reasoned that, as a dancer and actor, Neville possessed a unique control over his mind and body which his audience did not share: “Neville knows the art of relaxation instinctively. He is a dancer, and a dancer must, of necessity, relax. Hence I believe he does not fully and consciously realize that the average person in his audience does not know the mechanism of relaxation, does know how to ‘let go.’”
- “Of all the metaphysical systems with which I am acquainted,” Regardie concluded, “Neville’s is the most evidently magical. But being the most magical, it requires for that very reason, a systematized training on the part of those who would approach and enter its portals.” Absent this training, Regardie wrote, “His system is in reality strictly personal.” It may work for him, the journalist suspected, but not others.
- The reviews:
- Is Regardie’s a fair criticism? Certainly testimony exists to the contrary. In his 1961 book The Law and the Promise Neville supplied a plethora of letters from people who said they achieved success using his methods. As one reads these passages, however, another impression emerges. Student after student is concerned with ardently material goals: a new house, a new car, a new suit, cash in the pocket. But this was not Neville’s ultimate aim.
- In a lecture from 1967, Neville drew an intriguing contrast:
- What would be good for you? Tell me, because in the end every conflict will resolve itself as the world is simply mirroring the being you are assuming that you are. One day you will be so saturated with wealth, so saturated with power in the world of Caesar, you will turn your back on it all and go in search of the word of God … I do believe that one must completely saturate himself with the things of Caesar before he is hungry for the word of God.
- To move beyond the material world, or its wealth, one must know that wealth.
- The promise
- In the last twelve years of his life, the teacher took his philosophy in a radically new direction – one that cost him some of his popularity on the positive-thinking circuit. Neville told of a jarring mystical experience he had in 1959 in which he was reborn as a child from within his skull, which opened as a womb. (In the Bible, Golgotha translates as skull). In a complex interweaving of Scripture and personal experience, Neville told of “the Promise:” that each of us is Christ waiting to be liberated through metaphysical rebirth; this is the true symbolic meaning of the crucifixion in which God became man so that man could one day know himself as God. Our imagination, Neville taught, is the God-seed. He saw literal and final truth in Psalm 82:6, “Ye are gods.”
- <>
- Passing
- When the teacher died of heart failure at his West Hollywood home on October 1, 1972, his passing was marked only by a short obituary in The Los Angeles Times and a hastily arranged memorial service. The Age of Aquarius, it seemed, had limited interest in this silver-haired seer who spoke of the human imagination as God.
- Resurgence
- New beginning
- Neville’s work is extolled by some of today’s bestselling New Age writers, such as Wayne Dyer and Rhonda Byrne. As a result, his books have ridden a new wave of popularity.
- What’s more, Neville’s message, perhaps more than that of any other New Thought writer, has prefigured and coalesced with current debates in quantum physics.
- In essence, more than eighty years of laboratory experiments show that atomic-scale particles appear in a given place only when a measurement is made. Quantum theory holds that no measurement means no precise and localized object, at least on the atomic scale.
- Quantum Physics connection
- In a challenge to our deepest conceptions of reality, quantum data shows that a subatomic particle literally occupies an infinite number of places (a state called “superposition”) until observation manifests it in one place. In quantum mechanics, an observer’s conscious decision to look or not look actually determines what will be there.
- For example, quantum experiments demonstrate that if you project an atom at a pair of boxes interference patterns prove that the atom was at one point in both boxes. The particle existed in a wave-state, which means that the location of the particle in space-time is known only probabilistically; it has no properties in this state, just potentialities. The wave became localized in one box only after someone looked.
- The fractal (infinite possibilities)
- Neville described man’s power of creation similarly: Thought, he said, does not so much manifest the outcome as select it from an infinite universe of already-existing possibilities.
- Dealing with logical conclusions in their data. "Schrodinger's cat" by physicist Erwin Schrodinger (in 1935)
- Neville likewise taught that the mind creates multiple and coexistent realities. Everything already exists in potential, he said, and through our thoughts and feelings we select which outcome we ultimately experience. Indeed, Neville saw man as some quantum theorists see the observer taking measurements in the particle lab, effectively determining where a subatomic particle will actually appear as a localized object.
- In an almost prophetic observation in 1948, he told listeners: “Scientists will one day explain why there is a serial universe. But in practice, how you use this serial universe to change the future is more important.” More than any other spiritual teacher, Neville created a mystical correlate to quantum physics.
- Summary:
- This is not to say you can't have negative thoughts.
- It is the dwelling upon negative thoughts that moves you into different states of mind/consciousness. As you continue to dwell, you begin to experience reality from that perspective
- Insights and perspectives:
- When you realize that the thoughts, the inner voice conversations that we have, within our mind is creating the interpretations or the identification with perspectives that externalize certain experiences which we call world of Caesar reactivity and the outer
- we valued the journey and the destination as one
- says, because such persons experienced flow in work in family life when interacting with people,
- when eating,
- even when alone and doing nothing they depend on Less on external rewards that keep others motivated to go on with a life of routines. They are more autonomous and independent, because they cannot be easily manipulated with threats or rewards from the outside, in other words reactivity to the world of Caesar.

The Speed of Trust
Stephen M. R. Covey
- Trust is a function of two things: character and competence. Character includes your integrity, your motive, your intent with people. Competence includes your capabilities, your skills, your results, your track record. And both are vital.
- The 5 Waves of Trust
- Self Trust
- Self Trust deals with the confidence we have in ourselves—in our ability to set and achieve goals, to keep commitments, to walk our talk—and also with our ability to inspire trust in others.
- The 4 Cores of Credibility
- Integrity
- It’s walking your talk. It’s being congruent, inside and out. It’s having the courage to act in accordance with your values and beliefs.
- 1. Make and Keep Commitments to Yourself
- 2. Stand for Something
- 3. Be Open
- Intent
- This has to do with our motives, our agendas, and our resulting behavior. Trust grows when our motives are straightforward and based on mutual benefit—in other words, when we genuinely care not only for ourselves, but also for the people we interact with, lead, or serve.
- 1. Examine and Refine Your Motives
- 2. Declare your intent
- 3. Choose Abundance
- Capabilities
- These are the abilities we have that inspire confidence—our talents, attitudes, skills, knowledge, and style. They are the means we use to produce results.
- 1. Run with Your Strengths (and with Your Purpose)
- 2. Keep yourself relevant
- 3. Know where you are going
- Results
- This refers to our track record, our performance, our getting the right things done. If we don’t accomplish what we are expected to do, it diminishes our credibility. On the other hand, when we achieve the results we promised, we establish a positive reputation of performing, of being a producer…and our reputation precedes us.
- 1. Take Responsibility for Results
- 2. Expect to Win
- 3. Finish Strong
- Relationship Trust
- Relationship Trust is about how to establish and increase the “trust accounts” we have with others.
- The 13 Behaviors
- 1. Straight Talk
- Be honest. Tell the truth. Let people know where you stand. Use simple language. Call things what they are. Demonstrate integrity. Don’t manipulate people or distort facts. Don’t spin the truth. Don’t leave false impressions.
- 2. Demonstrate Respect
- Genuinely care for others. Show you care. Respect the dignity of every person and every role. Treat everyone with respect, especially those who can’t do anything for you. Show kindness in the little things. Don’t fake caring. Don’t attempt to be “efficient” with people.
- 3. Create Transparency
- Tell the truth in a way people can verify. Get real and genuine. Be open and authentic. Err on the side of disclosure. Operate on the premise of “What you see is what you get.” Don’t have hidden agendas. Don’t hide information.
- 4. Right Wrongs
- Make things right when you’re wrong. Apologize quickly. Make restitution where possible. Practice “service recoveries.” Demonstrate personal humility. Don’t cover things up. Don’t let pride get in the way of doing the right thing.
- 5. Show Loyalty
- Give credit freely. Acknowledge the contributions of others. Speak about people as if they were present. Represent others who aren’t there to speak for themselves. Don’t bad-mouth others behind their backs. Don’t disclose others’ private information.
- 6. Deliver Results
- Establish a track record of results. Get the right things done. Make things happen. Accomplish what you’re hired to do. Be on time and within budget. Don’t overpromise and underdeliver. Don’t make excuses for not delivering.
- 7. Get Better
- Continuously improve. Increase your Capabilities. Be a constant learner. Develop feedback systems—both formal and informal. Act on the feedback you receive. Thank people for feedback. Don’t consider yourself above feedback. Don’t assume today’s knowledge and skills will be sufficient for tomorrow’s challenges.
- 8. Confront Reality
- Address the tough stuff directly. Acknowledge the unsaid. Lead out courageously in conversation. Remove the “sword from their hands.” Don’t skirt the real issues. Don’t bury your head in the sand.
- 9. Clarify Expectations
- Disclose and reveal expectations. Discuss them. Validate them. Renegotiate them if needed and possible. Don’t violate expectations. Don’t assume that expectations are clear or shared.
- 10.Practice Accountability
- Hold yourself accountable. Hold others accountable. Take responsibility for results. Be clear on how you’ll communicate how you’re doing—and how others are doing. Don’t avoid or shirk responsibility. Don’t blame others or point fingers when things go wrong.
- 11. Listen First
- Listen before you speak. Understand. Diagnose. Listen with your ears—and your eyes and heart. Find out what the most important behaviors are to the people you’re working with. Don’t assume you know what matters most to others. Don’t presume you have all the answers—or all the questions.
- 12. Keep Commitments
- Say what you’re going to do, then do what you say you’re going to do. Make commitments carefully and keep them. Make keeping commitments the symbol of your honor. Don’t break confidences. Don’t attempt to “PR” your way out of a commitment you’ve broken.
- 13. Extend Trust
- Demonstrate a propensity to trust. Extend trust abundantly to those who have earned your trust. Extend conditionally to those who are earning your trust. Learn how to appropriately extend trust to others based on the situation, risk, and credibility (character and competence) of the people involved. But have a propensity to trust. Don’t withhold trust because there is risk involved.
- Organizational Trust
- Organizational Trust deals with how leaders can generate trust in all kinds of organizations, including businesses, not-for-profit organizations, government entities, educational institutions, and families, as well as in teams and other micro units within organizations.
- Low-Trust Organizations
- 1. Redundancy
- 2. Bureaucracy
- 3. Politics
- 4. Disengagement
- 5. Turnover
- 6. Churn
- 7. Fraud
- High-Trust Organizations
- 1. Increased Value
- 2. Accelerated Growth
- 3. Enhanced Innovation
- 4. Improved Collaboration
- 5. Stronger Partnering
- 6. Better Execution
- 7. Heightened Loyalty
- Market Trust
- Market Trust, is the level at which almost everyone clearly understands the impact of trust. The underlying principle behind this wave is reputation. It’s about your company brand (as well as your personal brand), which reflects the trust customers, investors, and others in the marketplace have in you
- How to Build your Brand
- Talk Straight
- Create Transparency
- Listen First
- Societal Trust
- Societal Trust, is about creating value for others and for society at large. The principle underlying this wave is contribution. By contributing or “giving back,” we counteract the suspicion, cynicism, and low-trust inheritance taxes within our society. We also inspire others to create value and contribute, as well.
