To advise the Board on current developments and proposed legislation in the area of child support
law and to recommend Board action; to discuss ideas and techniques among the membership in
order to create a more uniform and efficient approach to child support issues; to develop training
programs for the membership; and to develop collaborative relationships with other entities.
Additional duties may include drafting and amicus briefs regarding child support issues filed on
behalf of the Association. When the Child Support Committee recommendations take the form of
proposed legislation, these proposals should be presented to the MCAA Board of Directors for
approval.
Membership on this committee requires the approval of the elected county attorney.

responsibility and administrative hearing issues. Where appropriate, the Committee will recommend
