Essential Conditions I Can Influence
- 1. Empowered Leaders
- 2. Student-Centered Learning
- 3. Assessment and Evaluation
-
2 Goals
- 1. Have at least one aspect of technology integration
in each unit lesson plan I create/help create.
- 2. Actually use the tools and programs I have learned about this semester in
the classroom, such as wikispaces, audacity, and windows movie maker.
-
Assistive Technology Tools
- 1. Speech-to-Text
- 2. Paper Based Computer Pen
-
My Threats
-
1. Low budgets that keep schools from
purchasing new forms of technology.
- 1. Apply for grants, help with school fund raisers, and
do as much as I can with the resources available.
-
2. State education standards not allowing for enough
time to effectively integrate technology for our students.
- 2. Integrate technology into the lesson so that the standards
are covered at the same time that technology is being used.
-
3. Students not having technology at home to further their studies with various technologies and assignments.
- 3. Do as much with technology at school to where it is not necessary for the students to have technology at home. Differeintiate for the tudents who do not have technology at home, i.e. let them go to the library more often.
-
My Opportunities
- 1. Technology within the classrom
(i.e. Promethean boards, computers, net books, etc.)
- 2. Administrators that see the importance of technology and their
desire to further my education and training of new technology.
- 3. The growing number of technological
possibilities in and out of the classroom.
-
My Weaknesses
-
1. Not enough knowledge of internet based technology.
- 1. Go to extra training, do personal
research, and ask plenty of questions.
-
2. The lack of creativity to integrate different forms
of technology and certain math lessons.
- 2. Collaborate with other teachers, trial and error,
research ideas from teachers all over the world.
-
3. My desire to be a profectionist when creating projects.
- 3. Know that nothing is perfect and ask
for the kids' opinions and suggestions.
-
My Strengths
- 1. Extensive knowledge in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
- 2. Ability to learn new technology quickly
- 3. My desire to learn the "latest" technology.
