    1. The use of the dictionary is important in our life because, permit to the people finding many meanings for different word; but some people believes that the dictionary definition of a word more accurately represents the word´s meaning.
      1. Dictionaries are written to be of practical aid to people who already speak the language not to make theoretical claims about the nature of meaning.
  2. MENTAL IMAGES
    1. A mental image is that the image associated with a word tends to be of a typical or ideal example of the kind of thing the word represents.
    2. Many words have not clear a mental image attached them.
    3. A mental image can`t be all there is to a word`s meaning, any more than a dictionary defintion can be.

    1. Language can be used to talk about fiction, fantasy,or speculation in addition to the real world, and any complete explanation of meaning must take account of this fact.
    2. Language is used to talk about things that do not exist but, have a mental image and meaning, and refers to actual objects in the relation with the world. example: santa clause= old man with white beard and fat.

    1. The meaning of a word involves more that the specific thing that it refers in the moment. All expressions have a real- world like referents, that can change the complete meaning of the utterance.

    2. Specifying a practical situation, the person can use the language in a particular way using certain type of speech and giving to words many meanings associated with them.
