1. Election Risk Register
   1. Use Weather forecasters, rain-makers, soothsayers if you want but don't give excuses of logistical challenges which could have been anticipated. A good RR will have an effective response plan, you have to imagine the worst case scenarios!! This is Nigeria.
2. Stakeholder Management Plan
   1. Transparent and open means of putting key stakeholders in the picture of how things are going on the project. It's a pity that the biggest stakeholders of this election project, we Nigerians, were taken by surprise at the last minute! Political parties were not consulted in the choice of the new dates - shame!
3. Lesson Learned Document
   1. So that the same mistakes are not repeated, lesson learned documents can help reinforce what worked well previously and avoid what went wrong in previous elections.
4. Decision Gates
   1. Major control points which approve or disapprove next high level steps. So you don't want to SURPRISE your stakeholders!
5. Communication Plan
   1. A tool which supports clarity of information, prevents ambiguity and confusion on who to hear from. Premium Times shouldn't be the primary source of info about the election project. Inec staff comms staff did,'t even know.
6. WBS - Detailed Implementation Plan
   1. It is easy to miss out on details in big projects, this process supports a robust calling out of all direct and indirect activities related to the project and putting them in clear plan.
