  15. What we do appreciate in our Czech culture: The most popular sport is ice hockey. Our most famous players are for example Jaromír Jágr, Dominik Hašek, Jakub Voráček. Our national food is sirloin or pork, dumplings, cabbage The Czech nation is known as a beer nation One of the most popular Czech composer is Antonín Dvořák, who composed classical music in the 19th of century. Our culture also includes the celebration of Christmas and Easter. Our national anthem is „Kde domov můj”/ Where is my home. The most famous city in the Czech Republic is our capital city: Prague. Charles University and Charles Bridge are the oldest buildings in Prague, especially Charles Bridge is a very famous and favourite touristic place. Our the most famous theather is the National theather wich is in Prague and there are performance like ballet, opera and so on. The most popular singer is Karel Gott, who won 42 nightingales. Our prezident is Miloš Zeman who was like first prezident chosen by nationals Every year is in Carlsbad/Karlovy Vary festival wich is the oldest film festival in Europe. We have a lots of famous writer for example: Karel Hynek Mácha, Karel Čapek, Božena Němcová or Karel Jaromír Erben. Josef Čapek (Karel's brother) invented word "ROBOT" that know whole world. At Christmas we eat schnitzel with potatoe salad – it‘s our traditional supper. we have lots old monuments, for example “Pražský/Staroměstský orloj” which was first installed in 1410, making it the third-oldest astronomical clock in the world. There are number of spa towns in the Czech Republic. Between the oldest and most visited are the spas of Karlovy Vary, Mariánské Lázně, Františkovy Lázně and Luhačovice. Dumplings (“knedliky”) are the Czech traditional side dish made from wheat or potato flour, boiled in water as a roll and then sliced and served hot.
